Do we get to find out who the real nominee is now?

I wonder if God instructed Dubya to go through with it.

on the one hand, she was wholly unqualified and the idea of a stealth candidate for the supreme court is very unsettling

on the other hand, I feel kinda sorry for her and the way she was just raked across the coals. I mean, couldn't people have waited for her to have a hearing and then get voted down on her merits?

I don't think there's a lawyer in America who would turn down a nomination to the supreme court, no matter how unqualified they felt they were.

I'm qualified to be on the Supreme Court:

I can read. The constitution is in writing.

Though I think that the "able to read the constitution" part hasn't been enhforced very heavily in the past few decades, though.

"The people" = "the military"

"Public" = "private"

yes, you meet the minimum stated qualifications in the constitution, thankfully those who make the nominations and vote on appointments are more discerning than that

I'm not convinced that they are.

I mean, look at the decisions they make.
