Who's the guy who just managed to run an SNMP sweep of the office network while trying to add a printer to an OSX 10.5 iMac?

Ok, so I'm goofing off with the new iMac on my desk but seriously, WTF is this crap? Why are you SNMP sweeping to find printers OSX?
It sets of lots of alarms on our network and pages my coworker... *grumble*

I just wasted half my day, because the bibliographic asset management system designed for publishers DOESN'T FSCKING SUPPORT CMYK.
Now I have to go reprocess 150+ book covers to RGB and reinsert the damned things.

Off to NYC again? You gotta be kidding me...

Oooh, I finally have a good one for you all today!
for the past 6 months I've been working at a small company with relatively savvy users, so the stupidity I ran into at previous positions is a thing of the past.

Today i get a call from one of my users who's working at home over her broadband connection on VPN for the first time (new laptop).
Suddenly her laptop turns off, and she can't get it to turn back on, so she calls me.

Me: well make sure the powercord is still plugged in, maybe it fell out.
User: Oh yes, the modem has lights and everything, but my laptop won't turn on!
Me: ok, so your modem has power, how about the laptop power cord?
User: Oh, the laptop needs power too?

man, i LOVE coming in to the office and finding out that an entire office of 30+ users is down.
Just really makes my day.

man, like I needed another "day from hell" at work.
3rd drive failure in 2 weeks, of course no backups.
I'm really starting to hate Dell D600s...
