Since I'm recovering from the plague, I skipped band practice and spent the evening tweaking up some images from a photoshoot that will hopefully go on the ENSMB cd jacket somewhere.
This highlighted two things for me.
1: Holy crap is Adobe Lightroom beta3 awesome! I'm gonna need a copy once it goes gold!
2: Holy crap is my computer old and slow! I'm gonna need a new one really soon!

So ENSMB spent a weekend in a makeshift studio, here are my few shots from the weekend. I expected to have a lot more downtime, so I didn't get as many pictures as I was expecting to, but here are the good ones that I did get.

So iphones are in hand and working well on TMobile. We'll see how battery life is, they're used after all.
In honor of having such a versatile little device, I've setup a Moblog on flickr where I'll post random cameraphone pictures. Friend me! I'm lonely! ;-)

Hoping to spur myself into shooting more, as I'm a lazy bastard when it comes to getting out my big camera even though I carry it pretty much every day.

Spent my evening doing LOTS of image processing, just posted a whole lump to flickr.

This lump includes the second half of my brother-in-law's wedding, as well as a handfull of random photos taken since then. I still have quite a backlog but I'm starting to get closer to current with it since I haven't been shooting much lately.

I picked up a remote flash trigger off ebay for about $25 shipped from Hong Kong. It's basically a really cheap radio transmitter and receiver with a couple of dip switches and 2 AAA batteries. You clip the transmitter onto your hotshoe and the receiver to your flash, and voila! Wireless flash triggering up to 30 meters away!

I really want a set of pocket wizards which will do ETTL etc. wirelessly instead of just dumb triggering, but at 1/10th the price?
Yes. I think this will do nicely.

Now that i know it'll work I just might pick up a second receiver for my old Sunpak flash so that I can trigger two at once. Double the pleasure, double the fun!

New camera is going to take some getting used to.
