more on the car stealing thing:

whoever it was found my keys and opened the trunk to look for stuff.

From the trunk they took:
my tools
my two folding chairs
my fucking frisbee bag and my cleats. (what the fuck???)

They DIDN'T take, but had to have seen:
my digital camera
high class discman
crappy ass discman
lots of CDs
two bags of Target items that the girl bought the other day

let's review. Took dirty smelly cleats, left a couple hundred dollars in small digital items.
*scratches head*

Oh, and my keychain also, 32mb usb hard drive thingy. not that they would have known what it was...

this was one messed up person.
which doesn't change the fact that my family is now out a bunch of expensive tools and a rather expensive satelite radio system.
and a dirty stinky pair of cleats & a bunch of really smelly shirts.

i must admit that i will not mourn the loss of the stinky shirts and cleats, but...

are you sure this wasn't someone nearby like your grandfather or adam being irritiating? cause that's just dumb. they took the big bulky stuff and not the smaller things. maybe that was the mindet, only then the satellite radio wouldn't be gone.

(turns down satellite radio)

Yeah, it's tough, it's REALLY tough when something like this happens to you, no matter how valuable the items concerned. I can remember when my car was broken into the day after the rest of my family left on vacation...(stops wiping new pliers with shirt, puts shirt in frisbee bag)...some idiot was passing by, picked up a rock as big as this (gestures with pliers) and threw it through my window. They took my car stereo, and...what else...(leans back on folding chair) oh, yeah, my own, very expensive, tool kit, that was a gift for my twentieth birthday! And the car was in my driveway at the time! Man.

A whole bag of CDs in the back seat remained untouched, though. It just goes to show you that if a thief is determined enough, they'll go to any length to take what they see and leave the rest.

(kicks off cleats, props feet on other folding chair)

I'll let you know if I find anything.
