brohan, you needs to get you the spiffy new beyerdynamic headphones we've got at GC. they are literally the most comfortable and "most-used-in-real-studios" headphones we carry. THEM's some sexy cans.
considered these, but they sounded less tasty than these, so I got the latter. They sounded better to my ears, were cheaper, just didn't look as cool. meh. I'm not all that fashion conscious anyway. :-D
i actually own the MDRV700DJ's (the silver ones), they've done me right for the last few years (but i actually use them to DJ)... i learned how to DJ at a friends house and the headphones he had were the ones you got. they're actually very nice as well, i just liked the fact that the frequency response on the MDRV700's went down a little lower as a result of their having a 50mm driver as opposed to a 40mm driver... they tickle your ears when you have two records perfectly beatmatched and the coincident waveforms are doubling the dB :) but if you're just listening to music, congrats... they're bangin!
