You know, that song was responsible for my poor brother's nickname that haunted him until he was about 8... poor kid, I'm such a bad sister...

We (my parents and I), for some reason, sang that before going to pick Eric up from the adoption agency. And I, being 2 or 3, misunderstood both the words and the meaning of the song. I though we were singing about Eric (bro) and that the refrain was, "Brace in the morning" instead of "Praise to the morning." So it made sense for me to call him Brace for the next 8 years, right?

When my sister was born she was bald and had a lima bean shaped head. She promptly got the nickname "Baldy Bean", which eventually became Bean or Beanie.

When my brother was born he was a very big baby so he didn't quite fit into the green snuggly my parents had brought to the hospital to bring him home in. So, we have pictures of him squashed into this green thing; he got called the Zuchinni for a good portion of his infantcy. :)

Of course, when I came along two years later, I got called the Potato Bug because I would curl up into a ball.

I have a friend that calls me Tea, being that my name is Theresa. Or he'll call me earl grey. I'm rambling like a retard but your post just made me think of that. =)
