I remember reading an article not too long ago on missionaries which said that Christianity had surpassed other religions, but that the figures were not indicative of what missionaries thought it was, more to do with population growth in certain areas of the world and with the rising tide of Americanism... otherwise I would have guessed either Islam or Buddhism.
