I just posted a rant in zornog's journal.
Touchy subject with me, always has been.
I may edit and repost that in my own journal one of these days.

I don't think that it's because they're picking up bad signals from the media.

They pick up bad signals from their inattentive and uncaring parents ("Should I feed the kid, or buy weed? WEED!").

Kids are becoming more and more childlike and maturing less and less as time goes on. Maybe they just never get shown what they should be doing as time advances for them. They don't know how to take care of themselves or others, they just caught the peripheral message that "DRUGS ARE THE WAY!" so spend all of their time buying and/or using them.

I hate today's youth.

It's odd when I notice that of all the people under 18 I know, the only ones who can think for themselves were raised as Catholics, and most of them still belong. Odd that normally atheism is associated with intelligence, but now I'm almost noticing a reverse. Possibly it's just become the "in" thing to not look up to a magical old man in the clouds.

Well, I've lost any focus that I may have started out with, so Im gonna go.
