So I like firefox 2.0, but I hate that they moved the button to close tabs.
Luckily there's a 'fix' for it.

Type about:config into the address bar & go to > Browser. tabs.closeButtons
This preference controls how close buttons can be displayed on tabs.

0: Display a close button on the active tab only
1: (default) Display a close button on each tab
2: Don't display any close buttons
3: Display a single close button at the end of the tab bar (Firefox 1.x behavior)

Any way of making it display a close button on each tab whilst simultaneously having the master close button at the end of the bar? It's just that when you have a lot of tabs open, it reverts to displaying a close button on the active tab only, and that's annoying.

I like having a close button on each tab, but I want to keep the one at the end of the bar.

Oh, and the "List All Tabs" thing has to go, also, so any news on how to get rid of that one?

Done it!

Create userChrome.css in the 'chrome' folder in your Firefox application date (you'll know it - it has userChrome-example.css and another example file for your pleasure) and whack the following into it to get rid of the list:

.tabs-alltabs-stack{ display: none !important; }
