A question:
What's the best charcoal grill/smoker for a not unreasonable amount of money?
The Weber Performer models get great reviews and have a propane starter, but there's less than 400 sq. in. of grill real estate. But propane charcoal starter! And they've got a great reputation for durability. Unfortunately not good for smoking.
The Char-Grill 2137 has over 1000 sq. in. of space but isn't considered as durable as the Weber. But it does have an optional offset smoke box for some hot smoking action...
Anyone have advice, recommendations, etc?
