Dude, I just snarfed my coffee. Thank you for this little bright blip of snarky goodness, it has enhanced my morning greatly (still recovering from lighting a 7-piece Country Rock band at a South Jersey bar last night).
last night was $500 for four LED par cans (lighting the backline), two LED color-wash panels (on the floor next to the monitors, aimed up at the lead singer), two MAC250 Kryptons (sitting on truss columns at the rear of the stage), two MiniMACs at the downstage corners, and a fogger to get some haze in the air for the lights to shine through.
I'd need to work in the cost of a rental truck and fuel, and come up with a concrete number...
