apparently "Tofu with vegetables" at the local chinese place means "tofu with sliced cabbage."
I like cabbage, don't get me wrong, but I was hoping for maybe broccolli or something else in there too.

It could be worse; they might consider bacon a vegetable. I know I do.

I have the same problem with the vegetable lo mein all three of the Chinese restaurants in my town. I would have thought the dish might include more than the cabbage with an occasional piece of shredded carrot, but apparently not. The strangest thing is that a lot of their meat entrees come with all the vegetables that should be in the lo mein...

Chinese food is easily the worst Asian-style food available. Its so greesy and nasty. Japanese has sushi and great soups, Tai has much lighter dishes, Korean has fantastic BBQ, Vietnamese has awesome pho noodle soups. Chinese is the McDonalds of asian food.

It is amazing how it varies from place to place, eh? Sometimes you get forty different kinds of vegetables, other times you get ten pounds of cabbage. When I was younger, I seem to remember Chinese Restaurants being more veggy happy. Then they all started throwing ten pounds of meat at you.
