So last night I went to 'beginners night' at the local Go club.
( playing the world's oldest boardgame )

now I just have to figure out when i can get back there again. maybe next
tuesday.

loaded up the Go program and beat it, 41-36.
That's the first time I managed to beat it.
I guess they were right, it's hard to teach a computer Go well enough to beat even a beginner.

edit: just found the difficulty slider, which was on the second easiest of 6 options.
oh well. ^_^
