inahandbasket | (no subject)

I needed to drop something off ad a friend's house, and I realized that I haven't biked further than Davis Sq. in I don't know HOW long. So, I went for a 5.5mi bike ride this evening. Stopped in the middle to pick up some Sake as I've been craving it like MAD lately, and came home again.

That felt gooood. I really love biking, I need to do more of it.

I wish I'd started earlier this evening, as I like it less once it gets dark, and I don't know if any of you have noticed but it's getting dark at 7:30 these days. (Don't shoot the messenger!) But hey, it was a great ride, and now I'm all reved up to get something done this evening. Watch out laundry...

I got used to biking in the dark last winter. When it's fully dark at 5 and you get off work at 7.....you get really freaking tired of riding in the dark. Very lonely. Of course, these are rail trails with no other cars, so my experience isn't quite like yours. Hooray for biking, though, I need to figure out how to do more of it. As Erin adjusts to her saddle we should be able to get out more....until the cold happens. At least she no longer hates bikes! She just refuses to shift gears.
