as if that weren't enough, my server hosting company has decided to go out of the server hosting business, leaving me high and dry.
oh boy.

If you're not talking managed hosting or leaving a box on someone's rack, I'd say that GoDaddy is so stupid cheap for hosting it's insane. Outside of that, I'd recommend Hostway.

well my box is currently colocated, meaning sitting on a phat pipe on a rack in Michigan.
was paying $50 a month for T1 speeds, but looks like that will soon be a thing of the past. >_

I'm not sure if they'll do what you need, but DreamHost has been pretty good so far.
