so I haven't bought any toys in awhile.

Ok, so it's an audio amp, that costs $19 and outperforms every sub-$1000 amp out there.
I know, BOOOORING to all you non-audiophiles out there.

My stereo system is in shambles, and needs to be put back together. basically at the moment I have my sweet speakers that I built in 8th grade, and that's it. They're being driven by Meg's cheap Aiwa bookshelf stereo, so you could say that our stereo system has room for improvement.
I can't wait for this thing to show up so I can play with it. I'm expecting greatness.

What would you recommend for someone who wants to enhance their movie watching experience with home theatre system that rock but wont break the bank?

that's rad.. dunno how useful it is if it only pushes 9 watts without distortion though.. at least not without expensive speakers.

yeah, I have some pretty nice speakers that I assembled long ago, so I'm gonna see how that goes. At worst, it'll get me better sound out of my computer speakers. ^_^

pick up one of those 'home theater in a box' things at best-buy or a similar store.
Do some web research on it before you buy though, they can vary greatly.

Honestly, those will do you pretty good for the most part.

here's another tester, where he pushes them to 90+ Db with no audio clipping on a horn system.
90Db is waaaay plenty for apartment living.

Meg's got a mandolin, although with grad school she's been too busy to learn it. I'm playing banjo, and trying manfully to stick to one instrument at a time. ^_^

I'll definitely keep you updated, I've been looking up a ton more reviews, and they're all super positive.
