I was about to get in the shower, so I opened the window of the bathroom so the window wouldn't get steamy.
I glanced out and saw... um... this.
Birds.
Swallows I think, at least that's what they looked like.
Lots of them.
Flying in a circle.
They were chasing eachothers tails in a giant ring, like a huge wheeling donut in the sky.
I made the girl come out so she could see them too.
We watched and pontificated for at least 5 minutes.

They are most definitely my favourite species of bird.. apart from chicken and cornish game hens of course but obviously for different reasons altogether. ;-)
Hey.. Did'ja know that Budgies got their name (Budgerigar) from the Aboriginal word Betchariga (spelling??) which means "Good Meal" ?
