ok, new project.
Building a web server for personal use that doesn't take a lot of electricity to run.
my current tower (350W power supply) costs me about $35 a month to run, just electricity. sheit. not about to run a server off of that, I'll just boot it when I need it.
I want something (cheap! aka self built) that'll eat very little electricity, and can run linux and apache (or a lighter http daemon).
Right now, I'm thinking maybe pick up a laptop mobo and just stick together a case for it using the vga out. way low cpu usage there, but potentially expensive.
This was just a brainfart over dinner, haven't done any research yet. just wanted to throw it out there and see if anyone has any experience or thoughts on it.

You going to be running dual processors?
Even if you arent I would suggest getting a 400 or even a 450W case.
And how in the hell, if i may ask, is just one tower costing you $35 a month!?!?!?
