Had a few minutes to kill while waiting on some batch processing at work today, so I dug through my flash card and found this waiting to be processed (along with a bunch of others). Need to shoot more, I miss it.

Nice shot! I love how you captured the movement. A tight crop would take out that back doorway and the shadow in front, and still be true to the spirit?

Or did you not want photo criticism? Am I babbling incoherently here?

I ALWAYS want criticism. ^_^

I played with a couple different crops and ended up leaving both those elements in for the feel I was going for.
Now I feel the need to go back and do it again...

So here's the more "circus performer" crop of the same image...
It probably looks better from a purely objective perspective as a shot of someone doing something cool, but part of what I like about my original crop was that it gave you a slightly larger sense/context of what the space was and what was going on.

I guess you could say this is a prettier crop and the original is more photo-journalistic?
